Yeah I know what you mean about the characters in FD2, but for my money the death sequences themselves are good enough to outweigh the characters' failings. I haven't seen A Perfect Getaway, but the twist's been spoiled for me so it would probably miss the top 10 even if I do enjoy it eventually! I did love Paranormal Activity, but I could make another top 10 list of movies that just missed the cut... I disagree about My Bloody Valentine, though. I enjoyed it for what it was and it's not even one of the worst remakes out there - The Fog, The Day The Earth Stood Still and The Hitcher were all far worse IMHO, and I don't even want to subject myself to the Day of The Dead remake!

Thanks for the comments though, always appreciated!

I agree with you on most of these except Final Destination 2. It was a good opening followed by characters you could care less about getting killed, similar to the second Saw film. I think the Descent was the best of the decade. Inside was crazy good, and I liked Let the Right One In for its atmosphere. I agree with almost all of your worst picks as well...you got Valentine down perfectly (I didnt really hate it, but it was pointless). I think Id add the My Bloody Valentine remake to the list of the ten worst cuz it sucked big time. I would have added Paranormal Activity to this best of list because while it did copy Blair Witch (which I loved), it was still good. I might put A Perfect Getaway at number 10, as its only pseudo-horror, but it is thrilling as hell.

Great music. Now if I could only stop remembering what terrible movies they come from. I mean, really, LASER BLAST? Sheesh!

My top 5 favorite zombie films in no particular order are Dawn of the Dead (1978 original), Fulci's Zombie, Revenge of the Loving Dead, Dead Snow, and Zombie Holocaust. As you can tell, I'm a fan of Italian horror. Love the classic 80s gut munchers. Day of the Dead (again, the original!) is one of my favorites too.
